Mortgage SEO - New Article Posted

Search engine optimization is becoming increasingly popular among folks in the mortgage industry. It only makes sense. After all, thousands of Americans go online each day to research mortgage rates, types of home loans, the home refinancing process and more.

So a little SEO can go a long way toward helping mortgage companies grow their businesses.

That's why mortgage SEO is one of my areas of specialty. Mortgage is a hyper-competitive industry both online and off. As a result, improving the search engine ranking for mortgage websites can be extremely difficult. Notice I said difficult ... not impossible.

I know that most mortgage professionals -- like business owners in general -- do not have the time, energy or experience needed to sustain an effective SEO program. That's why I extend my services to them, and I've just put up a new web page to explain it in greater detail.

What Real Estate Teaches Us About SEO

I own a handful of real estate websites and blogs, so I'm always keeping tabs on Internet search patterns and media coverage with regard to real estate.

One of the things I've found is that nothing drives Internet search patterns like media coverage. Let's take a real estate example. Some of the most popular topics in real estate right now are (1) mortgage foreclosures, (2) subprime mortgage loans and (3) home staging tips. These topics are constantly being talked about in the media. As a result, there are tons of people online researching these topics.

As a savvy Internet publisher, I capitalize on this by adding these topics to my various real estate blogs and websites. I've created tutorials on home staging and subprime mortgage loans, and I've written step-by-step guides to buying foreclosure properties.

Why go to all the trouble? Because by shaping my web content around popular topics, I'm able to increase the amount of targeted traffic to each of my blogs / websites. And any business website can benefit from increased traffic levels ... and that goes for your website too.

So ask yourself, "What topics related to my industry are extremely popular right now? Am I addressing these topics on my website or blog?" If you're not, you could be missing out on a lot of targeted traffic ... and possibly some sales as well.
